Syllabus

Two full subjects, one integrated batch — about 65 scripted lessons plus weekly live PYQ sessions. Art & Culture follows a 32-lecture plan weighted exactly by UPSC's question pattern (architecture leads, as it does in the paper).

01Sources of Ancient Indian History — literary, archaeological, foreign accounts
02Prehistory — Paleolithic to Chalcolithic cultures
03Indus Valley Civilization — sites, urbanism, decline debates
04Vedic Age — early & later Vedic society, polity, religion
05Mahajanapadas & rise of Magadha
06Buddhism & Jainism — doctrine, councils, spread, sects
07Mauryan Empire — polity, economy, Ashoka, art
08Post-Mauryan India — Shungas, Indo-Greeks, Kushanas, Satavahanas
09Sangam Age — polity, society, literature, trade
10Gupta Period — the "golden age" claim examined
11Post-Gupta & early medieval transitions — Harsha, Pallavas, Chalukyas
12Ancient economy, society, polity & religion — thematic revision
13Science & technology in Ancient India
14PYQ marathon — themes, traps & answer frameworks

The 32-lecture plan, weighted by 15 years of PYQ analysis:

1Foundations — how to read Indian art; terms, tools & sources
2–3Religion & Philosophy — Buddhism, Jainism, Vedic religion, six Darshanas, heterodox schools, Bhakti–Sufi
4–14Architecture (11 lectures) — stupa & rock-cut traditions, cave architecture, Nagara–Dravida–Vesara temple styles in depth
15–19Sculpture (5 lectures) — Harappan to Gandhara, Mathura, Amaravati, Chola bronzes
20–23Painting (4 lectures) — murals, miniature schools, folk traditions

Frequently asked questions

Is ₹1 really the course fee?

No. ₹1 is only a registration amount to confirm serious interest and prevent spam entries. The final fee will be announced at the free orientation on 26 July 2026, and your ₹1 will be adjusted against it.

Why pre-recorded lessons instead of long live classes?

Because a scripted 30-minute lesson carries what a 2-hour live class does — minus the filler. Every lesson is researched, scripted, and edited with maps, timelines and monument visuals before you see it. Live time is reserved for what actually needs to be live: PYQ solving and your doubts, every Sunday. This is the same model used by leading online course platforms worldwide.

What if I miss the Sunday live session?

It's recorded and uploaded within 24 hours. You can also send doubts in advance through the batch group and they'll be answered in the session.

Is this enough for both Prelims and Mains?

Yes for History & Culture portions. The course covers concepts for Mains GS-I and solves 15 years of Prelims PYQs topic-wise, with answer-writing frameworks for Mains.

Will lessons be in Hindi or English?

Lessons are in Hinglish — natural Hindi explanation with standard English terminology, the same style as the Chronoclarity YouTube channel. Notes are in English (exam-standard).

Can I join only Ancient India or only Art & Culture?

This batch is a combo by design — Art & Culture makes far more sense when taught with its historical context. Separate batches may come later depending on demand.

I'm preparing for State PCS, not UPSC. Is it useful?

Yes. The core content overlaps heavily with UPPSC, BPSC, MPPSC and similar exams. PYQ discussions focus on UPSC but the conceptual base serves both.

Can I download the videos?

Notes (PDFs) are downloadable. Videos are streaming-only to protect the batch's content. Everything remains available till course end + 3 months.

What do I need to attend?

Any phone or laptop with an internet connection. Lesson and session links are shared on the batch Telegram channel and by email.
